Unstoppable Women

Honored and blessed to be one of ten women nominated for the Ms Unstoppable Award by the Unstoppable Women's Award Collective in the DC, Virginia, Maryland Region. I stood with truly remarkable women who are making a difference in our world:

A Physician with the "heart of Baltimore" who is helping residents combat drug addiction, lack of health education, and poverty.

A Domestic Violence Advocate who helps post victims with scholarships to get off the dole and become professionals in the beauty industry.

A Visual Artist who makes provocative and poignant statements about race, gender, and violence in order to change perceptions.

A Make Up Artist who has secured over $65,000 in funding through local business plan and business pitch competitions allowing her to start a Mobile Salon to take make up to Baltimore girls and women. She's one of the Top 25 women to watch in the Baltimore Region.

A rising young business woman who is the youngest member of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce, and spearheads the Carroll County Young Professionals. She's one of the Top 25 women to watch in the Baltimore region.

Dr. Marlene Jackson, my dear friend, who has started Le Chic Academy Foundation and the televised BizKidz entrepreneurial phenomenon to help vulnerable youth become confident and self-reliant.

A Civil Rights Attorney who fights on behalf of a better Baltimore City as a former state delegate, and in her leading role that oversees police misconduct, wages, and discrimination.

The first African American Captain for the Baltimore City Fire Department in a male dominated industry. She fought through discrimination and ignorance, and stood through every obstacle thrown in front of her.

And, then there was ME - the beloved speaker in the Baltimore Region who constantly empowers, equips and encourages women and girls to live happier and healthier lifestyles both personally and professionally.

Huge shout out to the Unstoppable Talaya Boardley McKinney, Event Producer, A Paint the Town Red Productions, and the Unstoppable Tamlyn Franklin author of 3 impressive books and Queen of Etiquette who Chaired the event.rlene Jackson, my dear friend, who has started Le Chic Academy Foundation and the televised BizKidz entrepreneurial phenomenon to help vulnerable youth become confident and self-reliant.
